A Trusted Sparring Partner for Artistic Leaders

One-to-one Support

I support conductors and other artistic leaders during periods in which important decisions need to be made, roles are changing, or a desire for greater clarity emerges. Many of my clients are well established in their professional lives, navigating the space between artistic ambition, institutional structures, external expectations and their own inner voice. It is precisely within this field of tension that my work begins.

Working with me is individual, practice-oriented and shaped by discretion. Drawing on my many years of experience within the professional music world, I contribute targeted support in relation to specific questions and upcoming decision-making processes. This may involve career planning, artistic positioning, contractual and negotiation matters, or dealing with ensembles, boards and leadership structures.

At the same time, I provide a protected space for reflection — one in which doubts, ambivalences and personal questions also have their place. Often, the process involves organising thoughts, reassessing one’s own position and perspective, and using this as a basis for further decisions or the development of new viewpoints.

Many artists experience me as a trusted sparring partner: someone who listens closely, asks the right questions, challenges where it is helpful, and brings blind spots into view without judgement and without pursuing a personal agenda.
Depending on individual needs, this may take the form of occasional consultancy, an intensive coaching process, or long-term, ongoing support.
